Role description:

  • Update timely the L3 schedule detailing the Basic Engineering study activities and related links  on MSP and do the conversion to P6
  • Create the L3 schedule detailing the Detailed Engineering study activities and related links on P6
  • Review the L3 schedules of contractors (6 lots) and send timely the comments on the dedicated review sheets
  • Update timely the L2 schedule of the overall project (engineering, procurement, construction completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, handover to Operator, Operation readiness …)
  • Manage the time allowance with corresponding with the Risk manager and project manager
  • Implement cost on task on schedules
  • Ensure the project is executed in a good & efficient way by monitoring SPI and CPI
  • communicate accurate and timely reporting updates to Project Direction regarding projects, activities, and issues.
  • Optimize the process of planning the different activities / disciplines. Scheduler with Project Control Lead has an overview on all project disciplines and confirm the reliability of the schedule which has the right links over the different disciplines + the relevant of the time risk allowances in the schedules,
  • Develop a global resource plan to support planning activities
  • Prepare and execute MONTE CARLO risk analysis on the schedule for detailed design
  • Built strong partnerships and relations with all stakeholders to develop comprehensive schedules ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Produce the basis of schedule with assumption notes  and supporting each schedule 

Key Skills:

  • Have demonstrated experience in industrial environment (mining, oil& gas, chemistry …),
  • Good reporting capabilities,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
  • Excellent mastering of MS Project and Primavera 6
  • Be self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible,
  • Be health, safety, and quality focus,
  • Agile, quickly adapts to changing conditions during project development,
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision focusing on results,
  • Ability to gather and summarize information from various sources,
  • Strong communication skills with all categories of stakeholders in the project.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 7 years of experience demonstrated in a Scheduler role on major projects,

University degree in technical discipline (Mechanical, Mining, hydrometallurgy …),

Completion of the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus,

Technical background in industrial construction is a big plus,

Demonstrated knowledge on setting up and organizing an effective control and reporting process,

Experience in multicultural context,

Fluent in English, written and spoken,
